Cybersecurity giant F5<\/a> is laying off more than 100 workers at offices in Seattle and Spokane.<\/p>\n

A total of 106 employees, including many senior engineers and managers, were affected by the layoffs,\u00a0according to a\u00a0filing<\/a> with the Washington Employment Security Department.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday we announced changes in our product organization to better align resources with important customer needs and our highest business priorities,\u201d the company said, according to GeekWire<\/a>. \u201cAs part of these changes, selected roles were eliminated, while other employees were placed into new roles supporting strategic growth areas.\u201d<\/p>\n

F5 has 6,557 employees as of Sept. 30, across more than 60 offices worldwide.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s stock is up nearly 30% this year. On July 30, F5 reported the company earned $780 million in this year\u2019s Q3, a 12% growth compared to this time last year.<\/p>\n

According to quarterly GAAP net income\u00a0and revenue reports obtained by \u201cThe Gee and Ursula Show<\/a>,\u201d last quarter was F5\u2019s best-performing quarter financially in the last 10 years.<\/p>\n

More tech layoffs in Puget Sound region<\/p>\n

Oracle revealed it will cut 161 jobs in Seattle.<\/p>\n

The tech giant announced that the layoffs will occur in October, according to the\u00a0Employment Security Department<\/a>. Roles affected include members on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure teams, data center operations technicians, and technical project managers.<\/p>\n

GeekWire<\/a>\u00a0reported the company is under pressure to trim costs amid rising investments in AI, including its $500 billion \u201cStargate\u201d investment.<\/p>\n

Additionally, T-Mobile, based in Bellevue, announced it had laid off an undisclosed number of employees in its IT organization earlier this month.<\/p>\n

According to a\u00a0filing<\/a>\u00a0with the state\u2019s Employment Security Department, F5, a security and application delivery giant, announced it is laying off 106 employees at the company\u2019s offices in Seattle and Liberty Lake.<\/p>\n

Microsoft recently laid off\u00a0more than 15,000 people globally.<\/p>\n
