Estate agents prepare for \u00a310,000 charity ride"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-203242 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/parkers-cycling-charity-estate-agent.jpg\" alt=\"parkers cycling \" width=\"730\" height=\"455\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>A group of estate agents are to emulate the all-conquering cycling champion Tadej Poga\u010dar after announcing their own cycling feat.<\/p>\n<p>While the Tour de France and Tour of Flanders may be more famous, eight road and mountain bike riding agents from a leading regional estate agency are to start their own \u2018Tour de Parkers\u2019 during which the group will cycle between the firm\u2019s 17 branches across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire and Gloucester in two days covering 200 miles.<\/p>\n<p>The group are hoping to pedal their way to raising \u00a310,000 for Ronald McDonald House, which is based at Oxford Children\u2019s Hospital and opened in April 2020 providing \u2018home away from home\u2019 accommodation to families with children having treatment in hospital within its 62-bedroom facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Personal experience<\/p>\n<p>Brendan Kay, MD of Parkers in West Oxfordshire, which is part of the TPFG group, says: \u201cWe are proud to once again be fundraising for the Ronald McDonald House in Oxford.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth myself and Lisa Kay and our colleague Simon Gregory have personal experiences of the Ronald McDonald House and know first-hand just how important it can be to families like ours.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe eight of us are all busy training for the challenge and look forward to raising as much money as we can, enabling the charity to continue providing other families with the same level of care and support that our family and Simon\u2019s received.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-203247 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/toby-phillips.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"125\" height=\"150\"\/>TPFG group director Toby Phillips<\/p>\n<p>The riders in the group (main picture, LtoR) are: Lisa Kay, Brenday Kay, Simon Gregory, Theo Smith, Ash Howes\u00a0and Morgan Jones.
