{"id":719383,"date":"2026-07-30T16:35:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-30T16:35:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/719383\/"},"modified":"2026-07-30T16:35:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-30T16:35:08","slug":"new-west-suffolk-hospital-deal-signed-with-construction-firm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/719383\/","title":{"rendered":"New West Suffolk Hospital deal signed with construction firm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The West Suffolk Foundation Trust, which runs the hospital, said the firm had &#8220;extensive experience delivering major healthcare projects&#8221; and would work to develop the design for the new hospital ahead of construction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Ewen Cameron, chief executive of the trust said: &#8220;This is a major milestone in our journey towards delivering a new hospital for West Suffolk and marks the beginning of the next stage of the programme.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;We&#8217;ll continue working closely with staff, patients and local communities as we develop the detailed designs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;There is still more to do but today is another important step towards providing modern facilities for future generations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Construction is expected to begin between 2027 and 2028.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Do you have a story suggestion for Suffolk?
