Warwickshire have re-signed New Zealand batter Will Young and India left-arm spinner Manav Suthar for the final stages of their challenge for the County Championship title.<\/p>\n

Young, 33, had a three-match spell with the Bears at the end of the 2025 season<\/a> and will return for the final six games of the red-ball campaign.<\/p>\n

The right-hander, who has scored 1,215 runs in 23 Test matches, averaged 53 in his short stint at Edgbaston last summer and has scored nearly 9,000 runs in his first-class career.<\/p>\n

He will compensate for the loss of Australia all-rounder Beau Webster, whose spell at the club is coming to an end.<\/p>\n

Suthar, 23, played two games for Warwickshire earlier this summer <\/a>– taking 11 wickets which included best figures of 5-100 in the draw at Somerset at the end of June.<\/p>\n

He made his Test debut against Afghanistan last month and has been included in the two-Test series against Sri Lanka in August.<\/p>\n

Suthar will be available for Warwickshire’s final four games of the season.<\/p>\n

“We’re very pleased to welcome both Will and Manav back to the Bears after both players made a real impact when they were last with the club,” performance director James Thomas said., external<\/a><\/p>\n

“Will adds experience to our batting line-up, especially with Beau Webster’s time at the club over for the season, while Manav showed earlier this year that he has the ability to change a game with the ball as well as adding crucial runs.”<\/p>\n
