Bravo reportedly pulled out all the stops when writing up Bethenny Frankel\u2019s contracts for \u201cReal Housewives of New York City.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThey asked me what I wanted. I asked for it. I got it,\u201d the Skinnygirl founder told Us Weekly<\/a> of how negotiations with the network were handled when she returned for Season 7<\/a> of the reality show.<\/p>\n Frankel raved that not only was she able to get the pay she wanted, but she got Bravo to agree on when she wanted to shoot, down to how many hours of filming, and \u201cthe way\u201d she wanted to shoot the show.<\/p>\n \u201cI had a very cushy contract,\u201d the \u201cBethenny Ever After\u201d alum, 54, admitted.<\/p>\n Bravo did not return Page Six\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n Bethenny Frankel revealed in a new interview with Us Weekly some of the details of her past \u201cHousewives\u201d contracts. Us Weekly<\/p>\n Frankel claimed, \u201cThey asked me what I wanted. I asked for it. I got it.\u201d bethennyfrankel\/Instagram<\/p>\n Frankel claimed to Us Weekly that because she had such a favorable agreement, it \u201ccreated some resentment\u201d with some of her other cast members. She filmed Season 7 with Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson, Kristen Taekman, and Dorinda Medley.<\/p>\n \u201cI was able to come to a cast trip two days late, leave two days early. I would maximize the most of the content when I was there,\u201d the \u201cBig Shot With Bethenny\u201d alum added.<\/p>\n A source tells Page Six exclusively that it\u2019s \u201cnot true that [Frankel] called the shots over everything.\u201d<\/p>\n Frankel began her journey with Bravo in 2008 for Season 1 of \u201cRHONY.\u201d At the time, she received a much lower pay of only $7,250 for a full season<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI wasn\u2019t looking at the money \u2026 you can\u2019t always look at the money, you have to look at the big picture, the other opportunities, you have to look at the whole board, not just the pieces \u2014 and the money was just the pieces,\u201d\u00a0the businesswoman said on \u201cThe Tamron Hall Show\u201d in 2021.<\/p>\n Frankel first appeared on \u201cRHONY\u201d during Season 1 in 2008. \u00a9 Bravo<\/p>\n She was only paid $7,250 for her first season. \u00a9 Bravo<\/p>\n During her tenure on \u201cRHONY,\u201d Frankel catapulted into superstardom and launched successful businesses, including her popular Skinnygirl brand, her own talk show<\/a>, book deals<\/a> and spinoff shows.<\/p>\n After a four-season hiatus, the Bravolebrity returned for Season 7, but then exited the show again<\/a> in 2019.<\/p>\n She said in a statement at the time that she was leaving to focus on her \u201cnext chapter,\u201d adding, \u201cIt\u2019s time to move on and focus on my daughter, my philanthropy and my production partnership with Mark Burnett, producing and starring in shows which represent a shift in the conversation for women.\u201d<\/p>\n Frankel said that when she renegotiated her contract for her \u201cRHONY\u201d return, she landed a very \u201ccushy\u201d deal. Bravo<\/p>\n She claimed \u201csome resentment\u201d with some of her other cast members. \u00a9 Bravo<\/p>\n Page Six learned at the time, though, that the real reason Frankel quit was because of money issues<\/a>.<\/p>\n We were told the multimillionaire \u201cthrew out a huge number to see if Bravo would agree\u201d but \u201cthey didn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n
