Now, we have discovered that Samsung is also developing a next-generation Galaxy SmartTag. It will likely be called the Galaxy SmartTag 3 and could feature a new design.

Galaxy SmartTag 3 has a squircle-shaped design

Based on our findings, the Galaxy SmartTag 3 appears to have a squircle shape. It matches the design of One UI icons and Samsung’s newer smartwatches, including the Galaxy Watch 9. In comparison, the first-generation Galaxy SmartTag had a rounded-square design, while the Galaxy SmartTag 2 had a pill-shaped design.

SamMobile

Galaxy SmartTag 3 diagram – Source: SamMobile

Unfortunately, the Galaxy SmartTag 3 does not appear to have a built-in lanyard hole, so you may need to spend more money to buy a separate case to attach it to your keys or other objects.

It also appears to have a visible button in the center, similar to the company’s first Galaxy SmartTag. Pressing the button could help you find a connected Galaxy phone, while double-pressing it could trigger an automation you have set up using Modes & Routines.

As usual, we expect the Galaxy SmartTag 3 to feature Bluetooth, UWB, an IP67 or IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and Samsung Find integration. Hopefully, it will use Bluetooth 6.0, which could improve location-tracking accuracy. It remains to be seen whether Samsung can improve battery life compared to previous models.

The Galaxy SmartTag 3 could be announced before the end of this year, likely alongside the Galaxy S26 FE and Galaxy Tab S12 series.

We recently revealed that Samsung is working on two completely new types of Galaxy Buds and published their…

[16
238430,2306,86,56,54,55
post-721021","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-mobile","tag-galaxy-smarttag-3","tag-mobile","tag-technology","tag-uk","tag-united-kingdom","tag-unitedkingdom
["GET
