Update [Sat 16th Aug 2025, 3:30pm]: The alleged Xbox leak for Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection\u2019s<\/a> release date still didn\u2019t amount to anything, but fans now think they\u2019ve spotted fresh evidence of when the anticipated compilation will release.<\/p>\n

PSDeals<\/a>, which scrapes information from the PS Store<\/a>, is showing a 30th October launch for the bundle. It\u2019s worth noting that the actual product listing is still hidden from public view, so this may have been uploaded in preparation for pre-orders going live \u2013 perhaps after Gamescom Opening Night Live<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s worth adding that developer Digital Eclipse has hinted it\u2019ll be making announcements<\/a> at the German convention, as it still hasn\u2019t confirmed the game\u2019s full roster of featured software.<\/p>\n

All will be revealed over the coming days.<\/p>\n

Original Story: The launch date for Digital Eclipse\u2019s highly anticipated PS5 and PS4 virtual museum Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection<\/a> may have leaked \u2013 and from an unlikely source at that!<\/p>\n

Over the weekend<\/a>, fans spotted a 29th September release attached to the product\u2019s page on the Xbox app, which has now reverted to a placeholder window of 31st December.<\/p>\n

Depending on time zone, the date showed 29th September or 30th September, so we\u2019re not entirely sure which of the two it is yet. However, assuming this is accurate, we\u2019d expect an official announcement to be made at EVO this weekend.<\/p>\n

The product page also includes a little more information about the game, confirming it\u2019ll feature a full documentary, automatic unlocks for every game\u2019s secret, and rollback netcode.<\/p>\n

Digital Eclipse has also hinted more games may be added to the compilation, but for now it\u2019s confirmed the following:<\/p>\n

We\u2019re personally hoping the PS2 era games and spin-offs eventually get added to this collection, as we have a lot of nostalgia for the likes of Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks<\/a> and Mortal Kombat: Armageddon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We know Digital Eclipse has done an incredible job supporting Atari 50<\/a>, so perhaps there\u2019s even hope of additional games getting added as DLC later.<\/p>\n

Either way, we\u2019re hopeful that late September release date gets locked in, because we absolutely can\u2019t wait to revisit these games.<\/p>\n
