We’ve been hearing a lot from Tom Holland lately, but I suppose that’s makes sense considering he’s in two of the summer’s biggest movies.<\/p>\n

While doing press for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, he’s probably been thrown every possible question, but it was Happy Sad Confused<\/a> that asked him the most important one of all: What’s your favourite video game of all time?<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

As it turns out, Spider-Man’s favourite game is none other than The Last of Us Part II<\/a>, the divisive but brilliant sequel in Naughty Dog’s highly acclaimed series.<\/p>\n

“The Last of Us<\/a>,” the actor says, before clarifying, “the second one.”<\/p>\n

Holland says it’s “so good”, and in response to a follow-up question, says he’s not watched the HBO series<\/a> “because I love the game so much.”<\/p>\n

“I don’t play video games all that much, and the… the game is just SO good.”<\/p>\n

I wish he was able to say a little more about it, but it makes sense for an actor to enjoy a game that focuses so heavily on characters, narrative, and performance capture.<\/p>\n

The Last of Us 2 is still one of the best there is in those terms, although I’d argue its third-person action is also remarkably good, and let’s be honest, it still looks fantastic.<\/p>\n

The second season of the HBO show isn’t as highly regarded as the first, so Holland’s hesitance to watch is probably well-judged.<\/p>\n
