{"id":722009,"date":"2026-08-01T02:09:15","date_gmt":"2026-08-01T02:09:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/722009\/"},"modified":"2026-08-01T02:09:15","modified_gmt":"2026-08-01T02:09:15","slug":"iphone-18-pro-may-launch-at-1399-starting-price-per-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/722009\/","title":{"rendered":"iPhone 18 Pro may launch at $1,399 starting price, per report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t<img width=\"1600\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/iphone-18-mockup-red.jpg\" class=\"skip-lazy wp-post-image\" alt=\"Leaker adds support for red iPhone 18 color rumor (mockup shown), in a slightly weird way\"  decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">iPhone 18 Pro is <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/07\/21\/iphone-18-release-date-when-apples-new-model-is-coming\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1048598\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">coming very soon<\/a>, and it might cost much more than its predecessor, with a second report now predicting a starting price around $1,399.<\/p>\n<p>Analyst Jeff Pu corroborates expectation of roughly $300 price increase for iPhone 18 Pro<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/iphone-money.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1045339\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last month when Apple warned that product price hikes were coming, The Wall Street Journal <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/06\/18\/iphone-18-pro-could-start-at-1399-or-more-per-report\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">predicted a $1,399 starting price<\/a> for iPhone 18 Pro.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This number was based on skyrocketing component costs for RAM, storage, and the device\u2019s pricey new camera system.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now today, analyst Jeff Pu has shared his own expectations for iPhone 18 Pro pricing\u2014and they\u2019re eerily similar.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a research note seen by 9to5Mac, Pu predicts iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will increase by $250-300 each.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That means a starting price for iPhone 18 Pro of $1,349-1,399 and $1,449-1,499 for Pro Max<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The report attributes this increase to higher costs for the A20 Pro chip, LPDDR5X memory, and NAND storage. The latter two are expected to carry costs for Apple that are up roughly 3x over last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apple could always choose to take a hit on margins for the sake of keeping prices lower. Though its recent hikes on other products makes that unlikely. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are unprecedented times for component costs, but based on the company\u2019s historic margin patterns, iPhone 18 Pro starting near $1,399 seems very possible.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What are you expecting from iPhone 18 Pro pricing?
