{"id":722183,"date":"2026-08-01T04:36:22","date_gmt":"2026-08-01T04:36:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/722183\/"},"modified":"2026-08-01T04:36:22","modified_gmt":"2026-08-01T04:36:22","slug":"nsi-confirms-major-overhaul-to-british-savings-bond-ahead-of-premium-bonds-announcement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/722183\/","title":{"rendered":"NS&#038;I confirms major overhaul to British Savings Bond ahead of Premium Bonds announcement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\">National Savings and Investments (NS&amp;I) has announced a major overhaul to its line of savings products ahead of next week&#8217;s Premium Bonds.<\/p>\n<p>While primarily known for its signature Premium Bonds, which allow savers to win cash prizes in a monthly lottery, the Government-backed bank also provides other money-saving vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>The financial institution has raised interest rates on its fixed-term British Savings Bonds, covering terms of one, two, three and five years.<\/p>\n<p>This comes days after the Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee&#8217;s (MPC) decision to keep the base rate at 3.75 per cent amid inflationary concerns.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"940af\" data-rm-shortcode-id=\"75539a857c67bbe8eb1ac8f3b2f87f67\" data-rm-shortcode-name=\"rebelmouse-image\" class=\"rm-shortcode rm-lazyloadable-image \" lazy-loadable=\"true\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns='http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg'%20viewBox='0%200%201600%20900'%3E%3C\/svg%3E\" data-runner-src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/ns-i-account-and-man-on-phone.jpg\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\" alt=\"NS&amp;I account and man on phone\"\/><\/p>\n<p>NS&amp;I is making changes to its line of savings products <\/p>\n<p> | <\/p>\n<p>GETTY \/ NS&amp;I<\/p>\n<p>The increases apply to both its Guaranteed Growth Bonds and Guaranteed Income Bonds products.
