{"id":722302,"date":"2026-08-01T06:17:26","date_gmt":"2026-08-01T06:17:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/722302\/"},"modified":"2026-08-01T06:17:26","modified_gmt":"2026-08-01T06:17:26","slug":"audley-harrison-sums-up-the-upcoming-tyson-fury-vs-anthony-joshua-fight-after-their-last-performances","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/722302\/","title":{"rendered":"Audley Harrison sums up the upcoming Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight after their last performances"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/boxer\/tyson-fury\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tyson Fury<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/boxer\/anthony-joshua\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Anthony Joshua<\/a> are set to finally meet later this year, but last weekend\u2019s displays had some fans questioning what both men had left in the tank.<\/p>\n<p>After watching both performances, Sydney 2000 Olympic gold medallist, Audley Harrison, has shared his thoughts on the fight.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sport\/boxing\/articles\/cy5dnnq1l0po\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Fury took seven rounds to dispose of 46-year-old Mariusz Wach<\/a> last Friday in Thailand, an alarmingly long time considering <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/boxer\/moses-itauma-2\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Moses Itauma<\/a> required just two rounds to halt the Polish veteran back in 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, any concerns regarding Fury\u2019s remaining ability were soon forgotten when <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/news\/usyk-reacts-to-joshua-ko-win-over-prenga\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u2018AJ\u2019 was floored twice in the opening round of what was expected to be a one-sided clash against Albania\u2019s Kristian Prenga<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In round two, Joshua recovered to knock Prenga out, but his inability to hold a shot in those first three minutes has left <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/news\/boxing-icon-pleads-with-joshua-to-retire\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">some former fighter calling for him to retire rather than a long-awaited scrap with \u2018The Gypsy King\u2019.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>On <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/audleyharrison\/status\/2081182156517523571?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">social media<\/a>, Harrison offered his thoughts, admitting that both men are past their primes but maintained that he still expects it to be \u2018a great fight.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoshua\u2019s punch resistance is not what it was, he has been a great ambassador for the sport and a great ambassador for British boxing but Father Time is undefeated.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s the same thing watching Fury and Wach, they are obviously not in their prime.
