{"id":72416,"date":"2025-08-17T02:21:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-17T02:21:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/72416\/"},"modified":"2025-08-17T02:21:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-17T02:21:09","slug":"mila-kunis-recalls-barely-eating-for-role-in-black-swan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/72416\/","title":{"rendered":"Mila Kunis recalls barely eating for role in &#8216;Black Swan&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mila Kunis restricted her eating habits immensely when starring in the psychological thriller \u201cBlack Swan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy prep was a lot of dancing and very little eating \u2014 which I know you\u2019re not supposed to say, but it\u2019s the truth,\u201d the actress <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vogue.com\/article\/natalie-portman-mila-kunis-and-darren-aronofsky-on-15-years-of-black-swan?_sp=ed1d1ff8-524e-41d0-a585-b3be7b7a51a8.1755353425019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">told Vogue in a joint interview <\/a>with her co-star in the 2010 film, Natalie Portman.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI drank a lot of broth and danced for 12 hours a day,\u201d she added in the piece published Friday. <\/p>\n<p>Kunis, now 42, added that she and Portman \u2014 who played professional ballerinas \u2014 only expected to have three months to prepare for their dance intensive roles.<\/p>\n<p>However, after producers lost some financing, the project \u201cgot extended to six months while Darren [Aronofsky, the film\u2019s director] tried to find money.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mila Kunis recalled barely eating for her role in \u201cBlack Swan\u201d in a new interview with Vogue. At the time, she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harpersbazaar.com\/celebrity\/latest\/news\/g1921\/mila-kunis-interview-0412\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">told Harper\u2019s Bazaar <\/a>that her physique \u201chas never been the same.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said her body \u201chas never been the same\u201d following a 20-pound weight loss for the role of Lily, also known as \u201cthe Black Swan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I got down to 95 pounds, I was muscles, like a little brick house, but skin and bones,\u201d she added at the time.
