Should they finish in the top six after 27 rounds, Wakefield Trinity will head into the play-offs very well prepared, with the side set to face five teams also looking for finals rugby this season in their final six games.<\/p>\n

After victory over Catalans Dragons last night, Daryl Powell\u2019s side remain in second on the ladder, and sit just above Wigan Warriors on points difference alone.<\/p>\n

Trinity crossed early through Jake Trueman and Cam Scott, before Caleb Hamlin Uele, a double for Isaiah Vagana and a second try for Scott sealed a 32-12 victory.<\/p>\n

They now head into the final block of the season full on confidence, but have arguably the toughest run-in of all Super League.<\/p>\n

Table-toppers Leeds Rhinos are up next, before they host St Helens and travel to Wigan in the weeks that follow.<\/p>\n

York Knights have shown they can beat anyone on their day, so that won\u2019t be easy, before games against Warrington and Leigh round out the season.<\/p>\n

Powell, who is the first Wakefield coach in Super League history to sit in the top two at this stage of the season, says he wouldn\u2019t have the run-in any other way, with the next month or so set to be a true acid test for where his side are at.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we get in the six, we\u2019ll be ready,\u201d the boss said to Sky Sports. \u201cThese are all big games that we\u2019ve got coming up.\u00a0We\u2019re going to be tested.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we can front up and do our jobs consistently well, I\u2019m not saying\u00a0we\u2019re going to win all our games, but we\u2019re in a great place.\u00a0We\u2019re fighting tooth and nail every week.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of quality about the team.\u00a0There\u2019s a lot of fluidity.\u00a0We were a little bit clunky at times [against Catalans],\u00a0but you\u2019ve got to win in different ways. We\u2019re proving we can do that.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet the challenges come, and then we\u2019ll see how we go.\u00a0We\u2019ll see where we are after next week\u2019s game then we\u2019ll take it from there.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an exciting week for all of us to unravel this a little bit,\u00a0but then go on to Leeds and look forward to that massive challenge that\u2019s ahead of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trinity have a real chance of creating something special this season, and after a disappointing play-off exit last year to Leigh, 2026 feels as though they might go one or two steps further.<\/p>\n

He explained: \u201cWe\u2019re deep into the season, we\u2019ve got a great opportunity.\u00a0Like I say, we\u2019re never getting too far ahead of ourselves, that\u2019s not my style, and the boys are not like that.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re keeping our feet on the ground.\u00a0The place is going to be rocking [at home v Leeds]. It\u2019ll be a full house, the fireworks and everything that comes with it.\u00a0We\u2019ve just got to do our job.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know it\u2019ll be a tough challenge. Leeds have been unbelievable this year. [They\u2019ve got] players that are playing consistently well\u00a0and they\u2019re very, very tough to beat.\u00a0We\u2019ve had two games against them already this year,\u00a0and we\u2019re 50-50.\u201d<\/p>\n
