A Ukrainian drone attack sparked a fire at one of Russian online retailer Wildberries\u2019 warehouses in the Vladimir region on Monday, prompting the evacuation of staff, the company said.<\/p>\n

Wildberries said firefighters were responding to the blaze and that logistics operations had been rerouted to other facilities to ensure deliveries and shipments continued as usual.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s warehouses have been repeatedly targeted by Ukrainian drone strikes in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

Vladimir region governor Alexander Avdeyev said a young man sustained a non-life-threatening head injury and was taken to hospital. <\/p>\n

A woman living nearby also suffered minor leg injuries, he said.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Two UK volunteers plan to donate truck to Ukraine for evacuating wounded soldiers<\/p>\n

Two men from Wolverhampton, Steve Morris (64) and Brian Gunter (58), are raising \u00a37,000 to buy a truck that will be donated to Ukraine\u2019s military for evacuating wounded soldiers from the front lines to hospitals.<\/p>\n

They plan to drive the truck to Lviv in late September as part of a convoy organised by the charity Driving Ukraine, the BBC reported.<\/p>\n

After handing over the vehicle and aid supplies, they expect to return by train.<\/p>\n

The pair previously delivered about \u00a310,000 worth of food and medical supplies to Ukraine in 2022.<\/p>\n

Their motivation is personal: Gunter made Ukrainian friends through buhurt (medieval combat competitions), and several of those friends were killed fighting in the war.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people who were part of the Ukraine [buhurt] team, Brian\u2019s friends, are or were of fighting age.\u201cSome of them didn\u2019t come back.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said that Gunter was \u201cpretty close to friends who died on the battlefield\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne is too many, and more than one is more than too many,\u201d Morris said.<\/p>\n

According to Morris, Ukrainian forces use remote-controlled tracked vehicles – similar to small tanks – to retrieve wounded soldiers from the battlefield and move them to a safe location where medics can administer first aid. <\/p>\n

The evacuation truck that Morris and Gunter hope to deliver would then transport the injured soldiers to hospital. <\/p>\n

Ukrainian drones struck another facility belonging to Russian retail giant Wildberries on Sunday, hitting a warehouse in the Samara region as Kyiv continued a campaign targeting the country\u2019s largest online retailer.<\/p>\n

The strike caused a fire, but no casualties, regional governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said.<\/p>\n
