Ofcom has opened an application window for restricted service licences covering 4th February to 16th March 2027. <\/p>\n

The regulator expects increased interest as Ramadan falls within these dates. Applicants have until 5pm on Friday 7th August 2026 to submit their forms.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Ofcom has reminded applicants to review the latest RSL notes of guidance and to use the current application form.<\/p>\n

Both documents are available on the RSL page of Ofcom\u2019s website. Applications must be complete and the application fee should only be paid at the time of submission.<\/p>\n

Ofcom says this process is designed to ensure all applicants have access to the latest information and requirements.<\/p>\n

The window is open to any group wishing to broadcast during the specified period, but the timing is expected to be particularly relevant for those planning Ramadan radio services.<\/p>\n
