On Monday, IMAX <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20260803289549\/en\/Sony-Pictures-Spider-Man-Brand-New-Day-to-Expand-in-IMAX-Across-North-America-Beginning-August-6\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">announced that Spider-Man: Brand New Day<\/a> will be available in select digital IMAX locations across North America starting Thursday, August 6th.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">The news comes as The Odyssey\u2019s exclusive three-weekend run in IMAX theaters comes to an end, allowing Spider-Man: Brand New Day to play alongside it, <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2026\/film\/box-office\/spider-man-brand-new-day-imax-release-odyssey-exclusive-run-ends-1236826306\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">as reported by Variety<\/a>. Spider-Man: Brand New Day raked in $355 million following its July 31st release, making it the second-biggest box office debut in North America since Avengers: Endgame in 2019. Christopher Nolan\u2019s The Odyssey had a similarly big weekend, pulling in $51 million weeks after its premiere. Both films \u2014 in addition to Toy Story 5, Moana, Minions &amp; Monsters \u2014 led to a record-breaking $430 million weekend at the box office, <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2026\/film\/box-office\/the-odyssey-spiderman-biggest-box-office-weekend-history-1236825132\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">according to Variety<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">The Odyssey will continue playing in theaters across the global IMAX network. The film has already generated $221 million at the global IMAX box office, helping to make July <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20260803565840\/en\/Christopher-Nolans-The-Odyssey-Powers-IMAX-to-its-Highest-Grossing-Month-in-Company-History-with-%24257-Million-in-July\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">IMAX\u2019s highest-grossing month in history<\/a>.
