The newspaper revisited the story in 2009 in a further attempt to uncover new leads.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Despite years of searching, David said there was very little information about his birth parents in his adoption records.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;It was like finding a needle in a haystack,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;But my wife got involved and realised there was a police report in the records and was able to locate the woman, a PC named Tegwin Curl, who dealt with me. She was able to give us more information about the day I was found.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">His wife, Julie Stevenson, a former Peterborough City Councillor, said: &#8220;The police officer said she had never forgotten rescuing David.
