<\/p>\n Inside the new Hammer, we take Dr Dead and Tommy Kemp to a zombie-themed escape room in their native Germany. As the clock on the hour-long puzzle ticks, they open up about the band\u2019s story and what it takes to put on their theatrical, horror-inspired costumes night in and night out.<\/p>\n Latest Videos From Louder<\/p>\n \u201cI know why there are no other zombie bands \u2013 it\u2019s because it\u2019s a complete nightmare,\u201d Dr Dead laughs. \u201cTo get the look, and to find a way that you can take it on tour and not look cheap. Like when you have to do social media stuff and you get asked, \u2018Can we do this thing real quick?\u2019 And Tommy was like, \u2018Sure, give me three hours so I can do the make-up.\u2019 We had to speed it up.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWhen we played [Belgian metal fest] Graspop, we had masks that weren\u2019t as tight as the ones we have now,\u201d adds Tommy. \u201cIt was so hot that sweat was just pooling in the chin.\u201d<\/p>\n Elsewhere, we get to know German electro-metal party-starters Electric Callboy ahead of the release of their long-awaited new album, Tanzneid. They\u2019re well on their way to becoming one of metal\u2019s most crowd-popping bands \u2013 and co-singer Nico Sallach confesses that he enjoyed a wild party or two well before he joined the lineup.<\/p>\n \u201cAt its peak, we had 80 people in this tiny flat. People that we didn\u2019t know were ringing the doorbell,\u201d he says. \u201cThey treated our flat like shit. I wanted to go to bed, and there were drinks and liquids that I couldn\u2019t identify all over my bed! Very good memories, even if it doesn\u2019t sound like it.\u201d<\/p>\n We also talk to modern metal standard-bearers Loathe<\/a> about their new album A Stranger To You, which came out more than five years after its predecessor, and see what on Earth took so long!<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I was younger, I felt very angry at the world,\u201d guitarist\/vocalist Erik Bickerstaffe admits. \u201cI had a \u2018fuck everyone\u2019 attitude, and a lot of music would be me putting all this resentment out there. I\u2019ve definitely been more self-centred in the past. I was a bit selfish.
