\n Kirkgate Pharmacy, located on Darley Street in Bradford, has been acquired by Kirkgate Pharma Ltd, marking the company\u2019s first venture in the sector.\n<\/p>\n
\n The business was previously owned by Ibrar Khan, who purchased the pharmacy in 2020 and is now focusing on other pharmacy interests in Leeds and Wakefield.\n<\/p>\n
\n A spokesperson for Kirkgate Pharma Ltd said: “I am delighted to have acquired Kirkgate Pharmacy in the heart of Bradford, the city where I was born, grew up and am proud to call home.\n<\/p>\n
\n “With the city centre undergoing significant regeneration, including the City Village development, I believe this is an exciting time to invest in Bradford and build on the pharmacy’s strong foundations.\n<\/p>\n
\n “The pharmacy has benefited from a brand-new fit-out, with a spacious layout and two consultation rooms, providing excellent opportunities to expand both NHS and private clinical services.\n<\/p>\n
\n “I look forward to creating a trusted healthcare destination and bringing new and innovative healthcare services to the people of Bradford.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The pharmacy dispenses around 7,250 items per month.\n<\/p>\n
\n It also offers services including a travel clinic, flu vaccinations, and prescription deliveries.\n<\/p>\n
\n Situated in a busy commercial area, Kirkgate Pharmacy relocated to its current site roughly a year ago.\n<\/p>\n
\n The pharmacy is part of a district currently undergoing significant investment and regeneration.\n<\/p>\n
\n Mr Khan said: “Having started Kirkgate Pharmacy in 2020 when Christie & Co helped me acquire the nearby Superdrug contract, I contacted them when the time was right to sell so I could focus on my other ventures in Leeds and Wakefield.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It was a difficult decision as the Kirkgate contract is where it all began for me in my hometown of Bradford.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It\u2019s great that the business has passed down to a young, Bradfordian pharmacist who knows the town and its people.\n<\/p>\n
\n “I wish him all the best of success.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The sale was managed by specialist business property adviser Christie & Co, and the pharmacy was sold for an undisclosed price.\n<\/p>\n
\n Jon Booth, Director \u2013 Pharmacy at Christie & Co, said: “The new owner is a forward-thinking pharmacist who knows this area well, having grown up here.\n<\/p>\n
