Ted Lasso Season 4, starring Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple and Brett Goldstein, is back after a three-year break and Rotten Tomatoes critics can\u2019t quite seem to settle on a consistent review score.<\/p>\n
An Apple TV original series, Ted Lasso<\/a> stars Sudeikis in the title role, a U.S. football coach who is out of his depth when he is hired to coach AFC Richmond in England. The always affable Ted\u2019s optimism is impossible to dampen, though, even when the team\u2019s new owner, Rebecca Welton (Waddingham), has set him up to fail.<\/p>\n Forbes\u2018Ted Lasso\u2019 Season 4 Puts Women\u2019s Sports At The Center Of Its RolloutBy Olivia Shalhoup<\/a><\/p>\n At the end of Ted Lasso Season 3 \u2014 which was originally supposed to be the final season of the series \u2014 Ted hangs up his visor and returns home to Kansas City to be with his son, Henry (Gus Turner), and coach his soccer team. In early reviews on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>\u2019 Tomatometer, the critics\u2019 score for Ted Lasso Season 4 has bounced back and fourth, initially earning an 87% \u201cfresh” rating before dropping to an 78%. Currently, the score is at 91% based on RT based on 39 reviews, while the site\u2019s Critics Consensus, Audience Summary and Popcornmeter score based on verified user ratings are still pending.<\/p>\n By contrast, Ted Lasso Season 1 earned a 92% \u201cfresh\u201d critics\u2019 score on RT\u2019s Tomatometer based on 72 reviews, while Season 2 shot up to a near-perfect 98% \u201cfresh\u201d critics\u2019 score based on 125 reviews. Roeper writes in his RT review summary, \u201cNothing will top the original experience, but it\u2019s still a breezy good time that brings a glow to your heart.\u201d<\/p>\n Nick Schager of The Daily Beast is among the top critics on RT who gives Ted Lasso Season 4 a \u201crotten\u201d score.
