Ghost Recon Wildlands<\/a>, the 2017 third-person shooter from Ubisoft, will get its free 4K, 60fps native PS5 upgrade from tomorrow, 6th August.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s according to a leaked PS Store<\/a> listing, which also confirms support for 3D audio, DualSense haptic feedback, and faster SSD loading times.<\/p>\n

All existing owners of the game will be able to upgrade to the native PS5 release for free, although disc-based owners will need to ensure the Blu-ray is in their console\u2019s drive whenever they want to play.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, everyone will be able to try the title free of charge between 6th August and 10th August, as part of a promotional free weekend. Any progress you make during that period will transfer to the full release, should you decide to buy it at a later date.<\/p>\n

If all that\u2019s not enough, there\u2019ll be a free mission named Last Rites available for all players, so even if you\u2019ve already played this campaign to death, you\u2019ll find something new to do here.<\/p>\n

The game is currently discounted<\/a> to $4.99\/\u00a34.49 as part of Sony\u2019s Summer Sale<\/a> until 12th August, so take advantage of that if you want to get the free PS5 upgrade.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also included in the PS Plus Extra<\/a> catalogue.<\/p>\n

We thought Wildlands lacked a little identity in our 6\/10 review<\/a>, but like most Ubisoft games, it\u2019s enjoyed some real longevity through post-release updates. The fact it\u2019s getting a native PS5 version almost a decade after launch is testament to that.<\/p>\n
