\n Created by tech professionals and partners Grant Macgregor and Jonny Kirkaldy, the app uses artificial intelligence to reformat recipes imported from websites, social media, photos or cookbooks.\n<\/p>\n
\n Rather than requiring users to constantly refer back to an ingredients list, Scran places ingredient quantities directly into each step and breaks recipes into single, manageable actions.\n<\/p>\n

\n Users can also tick off completed steps, adjust serving sizes, generate aisle-sorted shopping lists and switch to dyslexia-friendly fonts.\n<\/p>\n
\n The founders, who have a combined 15 years of experience in digital product design, developed the app with accessibility at its core.\n<\/p>\n
\n Scran was co-designed with input from 200 people during a four-month pilot programme.\n<\/p>\n

\n One pilot user with dyslexia described the app as “life-changing”, saying it removed the stress and overwhelm often associated with following recipes.\n<\/p>\n
\n The development team says it will continue gathering user feedback to further improve the platform.\n<\/p>\n
\n Jonny Kirkaldy, co-founder of Scran, said: “Standard recipe formats assume everyone processes information the same way.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We\u2019ve heard from so many people who blame themselves when a recipe trips them up, when really, it’s the recipe that’s failing them.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We want to give people the confidence to cook whatever they want to.”\n<\/p>\n
