Babyshambles<\/a> have announced their \u2018Live At KOKO\u2019 album.<\/p>\n

The indie legends reunited for their first shows together in 11 years last year<\/a>, playing a final show at London\u2019s KOKO on December 15. During the night, Babyshambles brought out Carl Bar\u00e2t<\/a> to also play The Libertines\u2019 \u2018What Katie Did\u2019, and played \u2018Wolfman\u2019 for the first time in 20 years.<\/p>\n

Now, Pete Doherty<\/a> and co. will release their new album \u2018Live At KOKO\u2019 through Strap Originals on October 9. It will be their newest music since 2013\u2019s \u2018Sequel To The Prequel\u2019.<\/p>\n

A live 4-track EP of the first four songs from the set will also drop today (August 7), while the CD and digital version will contain four bonus tracks: \u2018La Belle et la B\u00eate\u2019, \u2018What Katie Did (featuring Carl Bar\u00e2t), \u2018Lost Art Of Murder\u2019 and \u2018Wolfman\u2019.<\/p>\n

Speaking to\u00a0NME\u00a0recently about their return<\/a>, Doherty explained that the reunion only became possible once he and guitarist Mick Whitnall had both been clean for a number of years. He also revealed that original guitarist Patrick Walden \u2013 who passed away in June \u2013 was meant to be involved in the comeback.<\/p>\n

The singer-songwriter said Walden\u2019s death was \u201ca real trigger to get it done\u201d. \u201cMy first thought was of just seeing his face up there while we\u2019re playing and that\u2019ll be an important part of it,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was always talk about it; there was always a desire to play those songs again,\u201d Doherty told NME, \u201cbut the centrifugal point of it was addiction really, and the danger that me and Mick would be an unhealthy influence on each other. So it was people around us not wanting to meet up and probably us both knowing that it wasn\u2019t a good idea.\u201d<\/p>\n

Doherty also discussed the possibility of new original material in the interview.\u00a0\u201cWhen we do the bigger shows, it\u2019d be nice to release a single and a couple of B sides,\u201d Doherty told NME. \u201cI\u2019ve got a couple of ideas and when we get in a room, we\u2019ll try them out.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Along with reissuing their debut album \u2018Down In Albion\u2019 for its 20th anniversary<\/a>, Babyshambles released their first new music in 12 years in 2025 \u2013 the \u201creggae-ska-pop song\u201d \u2018Dandy Hooligan\u2019.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n
