{"id":730601,"date":"2026-08-07T16:48:07","date_gmt":"2026-08-07T16:48:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/730601\/"},"modified":"2026-08-07T16:48:07","modified_gmt":"2026-08-07T16:48:07","slug":"heavyweight-with-100-ko-ratio-says-he-is-the-man-to-beat-moses-itauma-hes-too-small","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/730601\/","title":{"rendered":"Heavyweight with 100% KO ratio says he is the man to beat Moses Itauma: &#8220;He&#8217;s too small&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A formidable puncher has suggested that <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/boxer\/moses-itauma-2\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Moses Itauma<\/a> lacks the necessary physical attributes to win their potential tussle.<\/p>\n<p>While hardly representing the most physically imposing heavyweight, Itauma nonetheless stands at 6ft 4in and typically hits the scales at around 240lbs.<\/p>\n<p>More than anything, though, the 21-year old relies on speed and footwork, with both advantages contributing to his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.co.uk\/boxing\/story\/_\/id\/48321810\/moses-itauma-jermaine-franklin-boxing-live-latest-updates-news-heavyweight-clash\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">fifth-round stoppage of Jermaine Franklin<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n<p>Now bidding to become the youngest heavyweight champion since Mike Tyson, Itauma is generally favoured to defeat seasoned veteran Filip Hrgovic on August 29.<\/p>\n<p>Should he emerge victorious at London\u2019s O2 Arena \u2013 and claim the vacant IBF title \u2013 then <a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/news\/who-itauma-must-face-if-he-beats-hrgovic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">the southpaw will need to defend his belt against mandatory challenger Frank Sanchez<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Either way, he is already progressing at a much quicker pace than Teremoana Teremoana, who returns to action against club-level fighter DeAndre Savage on August 12.<\/p>\n<p>Headlining a Matchroom Boxing show in Queensland, Australia, the Olympian has crafted a flawless 100% knockout record against entirely inferior opposition, but considers himself to be on a collision course with Itauma.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DAZNBoxing\/status\/2085304878734176511\" rel=\"nofollow\">Speaking with DAZN<\/a>, Teremoana highlighted Itauma\u2019s size as a glaring weakness in the land of the giants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s too small. He won\u2019t be able to match me; my attributes are better. I\u2019m a real heavyweight \u2013 120kg [265lbs].
