Ports in the United Kingdom handled 10.83 million TEUs in 2025, representing a 13% year-on-year increase.<\/p>\n

Total throughput reached 10,828,300 TEUs, compared with 9,621,500 TEUs in 2024 and 9,090,100 TEUs in 2023.<\/p>\n

London drives UK container growth<\/p>\n

The Port of London accounted for the largest part of the increase. The figures combine throughput from London Gateway and Tilbury.<\/p>\n

London handled 2,802,600 TEUs in 2025, up 56% from 1,801,000 TEUs in 2024. Therefore, annual volume increased by approximately one million TEUs.<\/p>\n

Thamesport also recorded strong growth. Its throughput increased by 67% to 156,800 TEUs, according to Dynaliners.<\/p>\n
