John Goodman<\/a> looked nearly unrecognisable as he showed off his 200-pound (90kg) weight loss in a selfie.<\/p>\n

The 74-year-old Monsters, Inc. star posed for a photo with Wizards of Waverly Place<\/a> actor David DeLuise.<\/p>\n

Goodman can be seen smiling as the pair stood in a supermarket, with the veteran actor dressed casually in a denim shirt.<\/p>\n

Writing on Instagram<\/a> on Thursday, DeLuise wrote: \u2018He was my childhood!! Legend! I love that I get to say that to someone \ud83d\ude09 If you know you know.\u2019<\/p>\n

However, taking to the comments section, the attention of fans quickly turned to Goodman\u2019s remarkable transformation, which has seen him shed roughly 14 stone from his early days of acting. <\/p>\n

One user called Camilla wrote: \u2018Is that John Goodman???? He\u2019s unrecognisable.\u2019<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Nick added: \u2018He\u2019s so much skinnier than I remember seeing him! \ud83d\udc4f\ud83d\ude0d\u2019<\/p>\n

Goodman previously revealed the lifestyle changes he made after he once weighed close to 28 stone.<\/p>\n

The actor, who has starred in films such as The Big Lebowski, quit alcohol in 2007 and has since spoken candidly about the work involved in keeping the weight off.<\/p>\n

In 2010, Goodman revealed he had already lost around 100 pounds through regular exercise and changes to his diet.<\/p>\n

He later explained that he had struggled with constantly eating and would repeatedly lose weight before falling back into old habits.<\/p>\n

Speaking to ABC News<\/a> in 2016, he said: \u2018I just got tired, sick and tired of looking at myself. You\u2019re shaving in the mirror and you don\u2019t want to look at yourself. It gets dangerous.\u2019<\/p>\n

Goodman has also credited staying active as an important part of maintaining his transformation, including walking his dogs and boxing.<\/p>\n

In 2023, he then confirmed that he had lost around 200 pounds in total.<\/p>\n

Despite keeping a relatively low public profile, Goodman\u2019s credits include some of the biggest projects in Hollywood, from The Flintstones and The Righteous Gemstones to voicing Sulley in Pixar<\/a>\u2019s Monsters, Inc.<\/p>\n
