Family loyalty gets complicated fast when one person keeps choosing convenience over promises they made to everyone else.<\/p>\n
After being hurt twice by her sister\u2019s choices, one woman faces a family dinner, so would you show up quietly or skip it entirely?<\/p>\n
That tension leaves her caught between protecting her peace and being blamed for ruining a gathering she helped plan.<\/p>\n
See why one concert ticket became the breaking point<\/a> for years of sisterly frustration.<\/p>\n Everything started back in January when my sister (25F) moved back home after breaking up with her boyfriend.<\/p>\n They had adopted a cat together and fought over who\u2019d keep it.<\/p>\n She got a loan to pay her ex for his half.<\/p>\n Things weren\u2019t so easy for her sister\u2026<\/p>\n But that ended up being pointless because between her job, her social life, and trying to find a place, she realized she couldn\u2019t care for the cat.<\/p>\n We (my parents, younger siblings, and I, 23F) all asked her to please let us know before giving the cat back so we could say goodbye.<\/p>\n She agreed. Well, she didn\u2019t.<\/p>\n She waited until my parents and little sister were on a trip, I was at work, and only my brother was home.<\/p>\n She just texted, \u201chey he is coming today to take the cat,\u201d and didn\u2019t even tell my brother, who was actually in the house.<\/p>\n They didn\u2019t want to give the pet away!<\/p>\n We were hurt. My brother especially, since he really bonded with the cat.<\/p>\n We talked to her, and she didn\u2019t apologize. Just said, \u201cIt\u2019s my cat, my life, I do what I want.\u201d<\/p>\n I told her that next time she should at least consider how her actions affect others.<\/p>\n Now she wants to go to a concert.<\/p>\n A few weeks later, Bad Bunny announced his Europe tour (we live in Spain).<\/p>\n She was desperate to get tickets. I couldn\u2019t afford to buy one, but I lent her my Ticketmaster accounts.<\/p>\n She was aiming for two tickets for her and her ex (again). But she ended up buying four due to nerves.<\/p>\n When she told me, I asked if I could have one.<\/p>\n She plans to pay for the ticket.<\/p>\n I said I\u2019d pay her on payday and even drive her to the concert.<\/p>\n She said she\u2019d think about it people were offering double the price.<\/p>\n Next day, she called and said she and her ex had fought and he wasn\u2019t going. She asked if I still wanted the ticket.<\/p>\n I said yes, but I\u2019d have to pay her on the first.<\/p>\n She said okay.<\/p>\n My friends warned me she might sell it anyway, but I defended her. I didn\u2019t think she\u2019d do that to me.<\/p>\n She was so not expecting that behavior!<\/p>\n Two weeks later, we went out to eat (me, her, and our mom). I brought up the ticket.<\/p>\n She shook her head and said her ex paid her the day after we talked and she sold the others too, for \u20ac200\u2013\u20ac300.<\/p>\n I was stunned.<\/p>\n I reminded her I was going to pay.<\/p>\n She said, \u201cI know, but I wanted more money.\u201d<\/p>\n Uh-oh.<\/p>\n That moment shattered me.<\/p>\n She didn\u2019t even really say sorry, just \u201csorry but\u201d and excuses.<\/p>\n I lost a lot of respect for her.<\/p>\n It\u2019s been two weeks. No apology. I\u2019m not even upset about the ticket anymore.
