Amir Khan<\/a> has shared his verdict on the upcoming \u2018super-fight\u2019 between former rivals Terence Crawford<\/a> and Canelo Alvarez<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The pound-for-pound stars are set to do battle for the undisputed world super-middleweight championship on Saturday September 13 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2018Bud\u2019 Crawford will make his first appearance at 168lbs when he faces the Mexican icon in just four weeks, having spent almost the entirety of his accomplished professional career campaigning at welterweight where he became undisputed champion in 2023.<\/p>\n

As for Canelo, the 35-year-old from Guadalajara has been a dominant force at super-middleweight since making the move up from 160lbs back in 2018, defeating the likes of Jermell Charlo, Callum Smith and Gennady Golovkin during this time.<\/p>\n

One man that is able to offer an insight into the highly anticipated clash between \u2018Bud\u2019 and Canelo is former super-lightweight champion Khan, who suffered defeats to both men throughout the course of his tenure.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Seconds Out, Khan revealed he has spoken to Crawford\u2019s team, who claim he is \u2018putting the muscle on well\u2019, making Khan lean more towards a victory for the American.<\/p>\n

\u201cI fought both the guys, I\u2019m probably the only guy in the world to fight both of them. Good fight man, I mean I lean more towards Crawford, Crawford I think is the better fighter, the better boxer, easy to hit Canelo, whereas Canelo still has that power but I just feel that Crawford has his number.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been watching videos and I spoke to the team, they\u2019ve said that Crawford\u2019s put on the muscle well, and he\u2019s holding the weight well, I mean I think he was like 186 the other day and looks strong and lean, so I don\u2019t think he\u2019ll have a problem.\u201d<\/p>\n
