Caravan of Love by the Housemartins, when I\u00a0was four or five. They\u2019re also from Hull, but I think I mainly liked\u00a0it because my granny and grandad had\u00a0a caravan in their garden that I used as a\u00a0wendy house.<\/p>\n

Anything by Coldplay \u2013 particularly Yellow. I\u00a0have a visceral reaction. It\u2019s not them \u2013 Chris Martin seems like a nice guy \u2013 but there\u2019s something about the tone that makes me feel carsick.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Supermarket Flowers by Ed Sheeran. He wrote it about his grandmother dying, but from his mother\u2019s point of view. I\u00a0think it\u2019s a really lovely\u00a0song, but I\u2019d never\u00a0tell anybody.<\/p>\n

As a teenager, I was really into hard house. Then, when I heard the first Stone Roses album, it was like nothing I\u2019d\u00a0heard before. The\u00a0opening bars of Waterfall are especially rock\u2019n\u2019roll, but also feel so spiritual. It had a massive effect on me.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Wish You Were Here by\u00a0Pink Floyd has been\u00a0played at a couple of funerals, and it always\u00a0gets me. I\u00a0always think how amazing it must be\u00a0to write something that people play at their most vulnerable moments, and that somehow explains life.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve never done karaoke in my life and I never will. But if someone put\u00a0a gun to my head I\u2019d\u00a0do These Boots Are Made for Walkin\u2019 by\u00a0Nancy Sinatra.<\/p>\n
