\n Highcliffe Nursing Home, based in Christchurch and part of the Kingsley Healthcare Group, has been awarded the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Quality Hallmark Award, a UK-wide standard for outstanding care during the final stages of life.\n<\/p>\n
\n The home earned the honour following a glowing assessment on May 28, during which it scored 73 out of a possible 77 points, equating to 95 per cent.\n<\/p>\n
\n The GSF panel praised the home\u2019s approach and said: “Congratulations on achieving the high standards in care and management required to gain the GSF Quality Hallmark Award.\n<\/p>\n

\n Tracey Millar, Regional Operations Director at Kingsley Healthcare, said: “Achieving GSF accreditation at the first attempt, with a score as strong as this, is a real testament to the culture Gavin and his team have built at Highcliffe.\n<\/p>\n

\n The home is located on Stuart Road and offers 56 beds.\n<\/p>\n
\n GSF accreditation reflects excellence across seven areas, including early identification of care needs, advance planning, family support, and consistent, compassionate delivery by the entire team.\n<\/p>\n
\n During the assessment, GSF assessor Jessica Lewis met with a range of staff, including the manager, Admiral Nurse, end-of-life specialist, and chef.\n<\/p>\n
\n She observed that every team member played a clear role in delivering GSF care and described the home\u2019s environment as having a “compassionate culture.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Highcliffe was singled out for its “exceptional” comfort boxes for families, which include practical items and personal touches such as forget-me-not pin badges and age-appropriate books about bereavement.\n<\/p>\n
\n Families are encouraged to stay overnight, with the home providing Z-beds, meals, and refreshments to support them.\n<\/p>\n
\n The home was also praised for its outreach to faith leaders, ensuring spiritual and cultural needs are honoured.\n<\/p>\n
\n A wide programme of activities\u2014from music sessions to outings\u2014also supports residents to live fully.\n<\/p>\n
