{"id":736691,"date":"2026-08-13T13:00:21","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T13:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/736691\/"},"modified":"2026-08-13T13:00:21","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T13:00:21","slug":"st-serfs-tennis-club-mark-centenary-in-style","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/736691\/","title":{"rendered":"St Serfs tennis club mark centenary in style"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>St Serfs tennis club, Goldenacre, held a day of wide ranging festivities to mark their centenary.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On court the occasion embraced junior activities, wooden racquet matches and an exhibition involving Jed Alexander and Alex Lalos who helped the St Serf\u2019s men\u2019s first team win VMH Solicitors East Division One this season, against Thistle pair Reuben Henry and Philip Blythe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Off court  Dougie Hamilton \u2013 50 years a member \u2013 traced the history and highlights of the club before a traditional tennis team featured heavily in proceedings.
