A Scottish beauty spot that featured in the Outlander series and attracts thousands of visitors every year has gone up for sale. <\/p>\n
Finnich Glen, better known as the Devil’s Pulpit, near Killearn in the Stirling Council area is currently visited by an estimated 70,000 people a year. <\/p>\n
The 23 acre (9.3 hectare) site comes with planning permission for a visitor centre, restaurant, cafe and parking for 150 vehicles. No price is listed. <\/p>\n
The short gorge, which is nearly vertical and 70ft (21m) deep in places, was carved by melting glacial ice more than 10,000 years ago, and the remaining Carnock Burn passes through red sandstone, giving the water a distinctive red colour. <\/p>\n
The dramatic landscape has long attracted visitors, at times leading to concerns about parking and there have been accidents, including at least one fatality, in the gorge itself in recent years. <\/p>\n
Numerous films and TV dramas have used it as a location including the Netflix film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, The Eagle, Detective Pikachu, Sherlock Holmes, The Nest and Taggart.<\/p>\n
