The film grossed only $345 million worldwide in theaters this summer on a budget of $165 million, making it the lowest grossing live-action \u2018Star Wars\u2019 movie. [Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/starwars\/status\/2088279729161838713\" rel=\"nofollow\">X<\/a>]<\/p>\n<p>Stuart Fails to Save the Universe<br \/>HBO Max has renewed its recently launched \u201cThe Big Bang Theory\u201d spin-off \u201cStuart Fails to Save the Universe\u201d for a second season.  The pickup comes after just four episodes of the show have aired.<\/p>\n<p>Channing Dungey, Chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Television Group and WBD U.S. Networks, said in a statement: \u201cIt\u2019s been an absolute joy to see audiences embrace this next iteration so passionately, and we can\u2019t wait to continue exploring the multiverse in Season 2.\u201d [Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvline.com\/2237339\/stuart-fails-to-save-the-universe-renewed-season-2-hbo-max\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TV Line<\/a>]<\/p>\n<p>Martha<br \/>Hot off \u201cMarty Supreme,\u201d filmmaker Josh Safdie is teaming with comedian-actor Ramy Youssef on a new feature project currently titled \u201cMartha\u201d at A24. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldofreel.com\/blog\/2026\/8\/13\/ramy-youssef-directing-a24-feature-martha-with-josh-safdie-co-writing-shoots-in-october\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">World of Reel<\/a> broke the news, indicating Youssef will direct the project with Safdie joining as a co-writer and producer. Filming is slated to begin this October in New York, but plot specifics and further casting are all under wraps.<\/p>\n<p>Princess Diaries 3<br \/>Julie Andrews has confirmed that she will not appear in the third \u201cPrincess Diaries\u201d movie.   The third film will see Anne Hathaway reprise her role as Mia Thermopolis, Queen of Genovia with Adele Lim (\u201cCrazy Rich Asians\u201d) set to direct. Andrews tells <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/why-julie-andrews-wont-return-princess-diaries-3-1236670387\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">THR<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the absolute truth is that I think I\u2019m really past all that now. I\u2019m not completely retired, but it\u2019s a different kind of work that I do these days \u2014 [writing] books, and I do a lot of recording of podcasts and voiceovers. But truly, I don\u2019t think I should be a part of it.  It isn\u2019t that I\u2019m not enthusiastic for it. It\u2019s just that I really don\u2019t feel I should be part of it now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tower Defense<br \/>Paramount Primal has picked up original medieval fantasy script \u201cTower Defense\u201d by Evan Daugherty (\u201cSnow White and the Huntsman,\u201d \u201cTomb Raider\u201d).  No filmmaker or producers are attached.<\/p>\n<p>The project is said to be a medieval and supernatural fantasy twist on John Carpenter\u2019s \u201cAssault on Precinct 13\u201d which itself was inspired by \u201cRio Bravo\u201d.
