Photographer captures the Moon passing in front of the Sun over London"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A photographer has captured a composite image showing the stages of the 12 August 2026 solar eclipse over London&#8217;s Big Ben and the UK Houses of Parliament.<\/p>\n<p>Toshi Omagari produced the image by capturing multiple shots of the solar eclipse at various stages, then stitching them together using image-processing software.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I wanted to take advantage of the low altitude of the eclipse by incorporating a famous London landmark, so I scouted various places around the city,&#8221; he says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I eventually decided on the Big Ben tower, as its predicted Sun position would fit nicely in the frame.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/solar-eclipse-london.jpg\" alt=\"Partial solar eclipse over London, captured by Toshi Omagari, 12 August 2026.
