Ukrainian <\/a>drones overnight.<\/p>\nAround 600 drones were detected heading towards the Russian capital, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said, with a third destroyed over the Moscow region itself.<\/p>\n
An 83-year-old man was killed after a Ukrainian drone struck a private home in the Moscow region, local Governor Andrey Vorobyov said.<\/p>\n

He also confirmed that a Ukrainian attack had sparked a fire at a warehouse belonging to Russian retail giant Wildberries.<\/p>\n
The business has been targeted by Kyiv numerous times in recent months, burning billions of pounds worth of merchandise belonging to the Russian online retail giant. <\/p>\n
Those attacks have brought the war home to the Russian public nearly four and a half years into Moscow\u2019s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. <\/p>\n
Images shared by Russian media outlets from the town of Podolsk showed columns of black smoke rising from the site.<\/p>\n
Five people were also killed in Russia\u2019s southwestern Rostov region, where three towns came under attack, local Governor Yury Slyusar said.<\/p>\n

This comes as a Russian attack on Kyiv sparked fires throughout the Ukrainian capital and injured six people.\u201cWherever the Russians can reach with their ballistic missiles, they strike civilian infrastructure,\u201d Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n
\u201cSince this morning, air raid alerts have continued in many regions \u2013 the Russians launched another wave of drones.\u201d<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, Romania\u2019s Ministry of National Defence said Sunday that a Spanish Air and Space Force F-18 fighter jet shot down a drone that had entered Romanian airspace.<\/p>\n
The drone\u2019s entry into the Nato member\u2019s airspace was detected by surveillance systems at 4.44am, the ministry said, about 14.9 miles north of the eastern city of Galati near the border with Moldova.<\/p>\n
A Spanish F-18 aircraft that was performing air policing duties \u201cmade radar contact with the target and received engagement approval,\u201d the ministry said. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe drone was safely shot down by the F-18 aircraft at 05.01.\u201d<\/p>\n
The ministry later said that drone debris was also reported in the Black Sea around 10am on Sunday<\/p>\n
