But the budding young star split ways with the company in 2024 \u2013 after Victoria<\/a> reportedly took issue with the fact they wanted him to drop his surname and attempt to distance himself from his famous family. <\/p>\n In her new book, Brand Beckham: The Fame. the Feuds. the Fallout, journalist Alison Boshoff writes that Victoria went against the plans by sharing a video of Cruz performing at family friend Guy Ritchie\u2019s pub. <\/p>\n A source tells Boshoff: \u201cThe whole point was to distance him from being Posh Spice\u2019s baby boy \u2013 she scuppered it.\u201d<\/p>\n It was announced in 2024 that Cruz had parted ways with TaP \u201con friendly terms\u201d. <\/p>\n \u201cWe are focused on making music artists as successful as they can be,\u201d their statement added. \u201cIt wasn’t possible in the circumstances.\u201d<\/p>\n The Independent has contacted representatives for Victoria and Cruz Beckham for comment. <\/p>\n Cruz, the Beckhams\u2019 third child and youngest son, went on to sign with a new management company and relaunched his band in 2025 with the single \u201cOptics\u201d, before performing a series of intimate gigs earlier this year. Later this month, he\u2019ll play at Reading and Leeds festival. <\/p>\n Reviewing one of Cruz\u2019s London dates in March<\/a>, The Independent\u2019s music editor Roisin O\u2019Connor wrote: \u201cIs he any good? Certainly, he\u2019s an adept guitar player and clearly has a genuine enthusiasm for music. <\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s in a tricky predicament: cynics will argue the only reason he gets any press is because of his name, but then, wouldn\u2019t any other band get the breathing space to hone their craft, with at least a couple of years playing live shows before being thrust into the spotlight? He can\u2019t win.\u201d<\/p>\n The gig was attended by both David and Victoria Beckham<\/a>, who had a tumultuous start to the year following claims their eldest son Brooklyn made in a bombshell-packed Instagram post. <\/p>\n Brooklyn \u2013 who has bounced around career-wise, dabbling in everything from photography to cookery \u2013 said he was no longer on speaking terms with his parents<\/a> in January. <\/p>\n \u201cI do not want to reconcile with my family,\u201d he wrote on social media. \u201cI\u2019m not being controlled, I\u2019m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n The 27-year-old made a number of claims in his explosive update \u2013 notably alleging that his first dance with Nicola was \u201chijacked\u201d by his mother Victoria<\/a>, who \u201cdanced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone\u201d. <\/p>\n![\"Victoria](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/1984216874...jpeg\")
