While some have <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.creativebloq.com\/design\/branding\/instagram-redesigned-its-logo-for-the-worst-possible-reason\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.creativebloq.com\/design\/branding\/instagram-redesigned-its-logo-for-the-worst-possible-reason\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-article-category=\"design\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.creativebloq.com\/design\/branding\/instagram-redesigned-its-logo-for-the-worst-possible-reason\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">dismissed<\/a> it outright as illegible (Instagzam, is that you?), others have taken a more measured approach, deeming the new design an overdue refresh.<\/p>\n<p>Meta has <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.creativebloq.com\/design\/branding\/instagrams-new-brand-identity-is-more-than-just-a-wordmark\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.creativebloq.com\/design\/branding\/instagrams-new-brand-identity-is-more-than-just-a-wordmark\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-article-category=\"design\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.creativebloq.com\/design\/branding\/instagrams-new-brand-identity-is-more-than-just-a-wordmark\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">described<\/a> the new look, part of a wider brand identity refresh, as &#8220;rooted in the bold, fresh spirit our community brings to Instagram.&#8221; The company says it explored &#8220;hundreds of directions: from all-caps, to camera concepts, to literal handwriting.
