The musician began rolling out the project earlier this summer with the singles<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/beck-ride-lonesome-album-in-the-night-single-1235593818\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> \u201cIn the Night\u201d <\/a>and \u201cRide Lonesome,\u201d with Sierra Ferrell. Now, he\u2019s offering another glimpse into the album with \u201cDisappearing Act,\u201d an airy, lyrically sparse and string-backed song about moving in a new direction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cRide right into the storm\/Like a beast waiting to be born\/There\u2019s a road out of here needs to nowhere,\u201d Beck sings. \u201cHigh as the sun\/Like a fool\/Falling back to Earth\/Ride the darkness somewhere new\/Try to unlearn the things you knew\/There\u2019s a road out of here leads to nowhere.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cDisappearing Act\u201d appears midway through the 12-track album, out Sept. 18 via Capitol Records. Thematically, it reflects a broader theme that appears across the album, including the title track. Speaking with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2026\/04\/20\/nx-s1-5790485\/beck-interview-ride-lonesome\" target=\"_blank\">NPR<\/a> earlier this year, Beck connected music from the record to a pivotal period of loneliness.<\/p>\n<p>\t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cIt was one of those times in your life when you\u2019re taking things in, where you\u2019ve been and where you\u2019re going. You know, when you\u2019re going through difficult things, often you have to get through it yourself,\u201d he said. \u201cYou just have to move forward through whatever landscape of your life and circumstances you find yourself in. And I think it\u2019s sort of that dark comfort of pushing through the parts of life that are maybe not as comfortable or easy, and having some distant faith that it will pull you through to the other side.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tIn time with the release of Ride Lonesome, Beck will embark on a 26-date North American tour.
