We’ve reached the fourth-round stage at the Cincinnati Open, with Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek and Alexander Zverev among the standout names taking to the court on a jam-packed Wednesday.<\/p>\n

05:00 CET – Frances Tiafoe<\/a> keeps the American upsets rolling as he defeats No. 2 seed Felix Auger-Aliassime<\/a> in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4<\/a>. Earlier in the day, fellow American Tommy Paul knocked off top seed Alexander Zverev.<\/p>\n

It now officially makes it eight total Americans heading to the quarter-finals between both men’s and women’s (four left in each).<\/p>\n

Tiafoe has won his last four top-10 matches (17th overall) as he advances to his second Cincinnati quarter-finals (sixth Masters QF).\u00a0<\/p>\n

04:36 CET – Lorenzo Musetti<\/a> cruises by Jaime Faria<\/a> after defeating him in straight sets, 7-5, 6-2<\/a>. He moves on to the Cincinnati quarter-finals for the first time in his career, also marking his sixth Masters QF overall.\u00a0<\/p>\n

04:05 CET –\u00a0Taylor Fritz<\/a> beats Christopher O’Connell<\/a> 6-4, 6-3<\/a> to advance to his third Cincinnati quarter-finals and 31st win of 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This is his first Masters quarter-finals appearance since Canada 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n

03:10 CET – Staying on the women’s side, Coco Gauff<\/a> defeats Marie Bouzkova<\/a> 6-3, 6-2<\/a>, while Madison Keys<\/a> also wins in straight sets against Xiyu Wang<\/a> 7-6(3), 6-4<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On the men’s side, Brandon Nakashima<\/a> comes out victorious after a tough two-and-a-half-hour battle against Nuno Borges<\/a>, taking home the final set 6-3, 6(5)-7, 6-3<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rybakina will look to even the lifetime series as Swiatek has a 7-6 lead on her heading into the matchup.\u00a0<\/p>\n

00:28 CET –\u00a0Arthur Fils<\/a> moves on to his first Cinci quarter-finals after defeating\u00a0Alex De Minaur<\/a> 6-3, 6-4<\/a>! This marks his eighth Masters 1000 QF and his fifth in 2026 alone.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Tommy Paul<\/a> takes down No. 1 seed and 2021 Cincinnati Open champion Alexander Zverev<\/a> 4-6, 7-6(6), 6-4<\/a>!\u00a0<\/p>\n

23:37 CET –\u00a0The Wimbledon champion is out! Noskova<\/a> put up much more of a fight in the second set, but after breaking in the seventh game of it, Anisimova<\/a> kept her cool to win 6-1, 6-4<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It was a hugely impressive display from the American, who didn’t face a single break point and lost just six points in total on her serve.<\/p>\n

22:23 CET –\u00a0Play has been suspended in Ohio due to rain, with Alexander Zverev leading Tommy Paul 6-4, 3-4<\/a> and Amanda Anisimova 6-1 up against Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova.<\/a><\/p>\n

21:28 CET –\u00a0Thiago Agustin Tirante’s<\/a> remarkable run goes on! After knocking out Novak Djokovic, the world number 50 has now beaten French Open semi-finalist and 14th seed Jakub Mensik<\/a>, coming from behind to win 5-7, 6-4, 6-4<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Prior to 2026, the Argentine had never made it past the second round of a Masters 1000 tournament, but has now reached two fourth rounds and a quarter-final in his last three<\/p>\n

21:07 CET –\u00a0World number three Jessica Pegula<\/a> has passed a huge test, beating Sorana Cirstea<\/a> 6-2, 4-6, 7-5<\/a> in a battle that lasted for over two hours.<\/p>\n

Cirstea led the final set 4-3, but after three consecutive breaks, Pegula served for the win at 6-5 and converted her fourth match point.<\/p>\n

Both returned excellently, with Cirstea forcing 10 break points and Pegula 14, and both saved 50% of those they faced, but the American was just about the better player on balance and a worthy winner.<\/p>\n

20:44 CET –\u00a0The women’s fifth seed is out, with Mirra Andreeva<\/a> losing 4-6, 6-0, 6-2<\/a> to world number 11 Marta Kostyuk<\/a>, who has gained revenge for the defeat she suffered to the teenager in the semi-finals of the French Open.<\/p>\n

19:52 CET – Men’s seventh seed Flavio Cobolli<\/a> has sealed his place in the Cincinnati quarter-finals courtesy of a mightily impressive 4-6, 7-6(3), 6-3<\/a> comeback victory over rising star Rafael Jodar<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cobolli battled his way through a tense 61-minute second set before proving too strong for his 19-year-old opponent in the decider to reach his maiden Masters 1000 quarter-final on a hard court.<\/p>\n

The Italian will come up against either top seed Alexander Zverev<\/a> or home favourite Tommy Paul<\/a> for a spot in the last four.\u00a0<\/p>\n

18:39 CET – Defending women’s champion Iga Swiatek<\/a> is safely through to the quarter-finals in Cincinnati after a relatively routine 6-3, 6-3<\/a> triumph over France’s Diane Parry<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Swiatek wasn’t at her scintillating best across the two sets, but she managed to convert five of 10 break-point opportunities\u00a0to secure a ninth consecutive victory after winning the Toronto title last week.<\/p>\n

The Pole will now face either second seed Elena Rybakina<\/a> or Diana Shnaider<\/a> in the last eight.<\/p>\n
