Nigel Farage: Where Does the Money Come From?<\/p>\n

Reform\u2019s taste for litigation arguably makes idle speculation about this question unwise. But Channel 5 are up for it anyway in this documentary which puts Farage\u2019s finances under the microscope, exploring his donors and examining his various lucrative sidelines as a broadcaster and speaker. Despite dutifully fulfilling its propaganda brief, this 1943 film from Anthony Asquith works superbly in its own right as a tense wartime thriller. John Mills, that era\u2019s go-to everyman, stars as the captain of the fictional submarine Sea Tiger. Sent on a mission to attack a new German battleship, he and his crew find themselves out on their own in the Baltic, facing mines, undersea nets and destroyers. Naturally, a can-do attitude prevails, but the tangled personal lives of the crew provide a comic distraction to the life-and-death stuff of winning the war. Simon Wardell<\/p>\n
Doctor Strange, 8pm, Channel 4<\/p>\n
This is the movie that, for better or worse, introduced the multiverse to Marvel\u2019s superhero franchise. It also chucked magic into the otherwise muscle-based mix \u2013 as practised by Benedict Cumberbatch\u2019s arrogant brain surgeon turned wielder of the mystic arts. This gives the film an enjoyably psychedelic feel, as Strange battles rogue sorcerer Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen), and is oddly reminiscent of Christopher Nolan\u2019s Inception and Tenet (it was released between the two) in its architecture-twisting, time-reversing spectacle. SW<\/p>\n
