{"id":746047,"date":"2026-08-22T10:00:09","date_gmt":"2026-08-22T10:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/746047\/"},"modified":"2026-08-22T10:00:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-22T10:00:09","slug":"top-honour-for-cambridgeshire-hospital-radiographer-after-30-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/746047\/","title":{"rendered":"Top honour for Cambridgeshire hospital radiographer after 30 years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A woman who began working in radiography at hospitals more than 30 years ago has been made president of the Society and College of Radiographers (SoR), one of the profession&#8217;s highest honours.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Rachel Nolan, assistant imaging services and professional lead at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, became the SoR&#8217;s 89th president.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">She began her training at 19, and her first job was in January 1990 at the Edith Cavell Hospital in Peterborough.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Nolan said: Becoming president of the society&#8230; is something I would never have dreamed of as a 19-year-old starting my training.
