She then brought it into the live-action realm with the “Doctor Strange” sequel.

Trouble is the appearance, like several others in the film, was merely a cameo that saw the character introduced and then quickly killed off by Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch.

Speaking at the For the Love of Fantasy & Sci-Fi convention in London (via Frances in London), Atwell discussed her frustrations with what happened:

If I’m really like brutally honest, I was so disappointed with how they positioned her and what happened to her in that scene. It’s so small, and she gets frisbeed to death. I tried on set to kind of go, ‘Can I just add? Can I just suggest?’ And they were like, ‘Sure, but no.’ I felt that was like a bum steer and a complete disservice to the character.”

Atwell is expected to return as the more regular Peggy Carter in “Avengers: Doomsday” later this year but does say she hopes to bring her Captain Carter guise back on the screen at some point: “I hope maybe one day in the future they’ll give her more in that capacity.”

Previous articleParamount Settlement Early Talks Cancelled

Next article“The Gentlemen” Season 2 Official Trailer

Marvel Hayley Atwell has once again spoken about her disappointment with the way her Captain Carter character was…

[27
94966,96,2839,56,54,55
post-748355","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-movies","tag-bigslider","tag-entertainment","tag-movies","tag-uk","tag-united-kingdom","tag-unitedkingdom
["GET
