But neighbours claim the garden building towers above the 2m fence, with one saying: \u201cWhile I have significant concerns regarding the existing structure, I would reluctantly support its replacement with a building that more closely reflects the scale and limitations ordinarily associated with permitted development.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, Mr Bransky insisted the development was in line with regulation.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is within permitted development heights \u2013 it\u2019s 2.5 metres up to the ridge and 3 metres at the tallest.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said that the council had visited and had \u201cno problem with it\u201d, with the only requirement being a more detailed tree report needed, which he duly obtained.<\/p>\n
While Mr Bransky acknowledged that the garden building housing the simulator was \u201cslightly bigger than some\u201d, he insisted that many people had garden buildings, and that he needed \u201cthe space to swing the clubs\u201d.<\/p>\n
Mr Bransky also told council officials that any noise from the simulator was \u201cnegligible\u201d. He has undertaken soundproofing measures, including fitting acoustic sports panels and soundproof carpet, as well as an impact screen to avoid balls hitting the walls.<\/p>\n
