The home crowd at the K Club this week will have plenty of Irish golfers to support with a record-breaking nine professionals competing alongside six amateurs.<\/p>\n

Leona Maguire will again lead the charge as Ireland searches for a first-ever home winner, and she will be ably supported by fellow pros Lauren Walsh, Sara Byrne, Canice Screene, Olivia Mehaffey, Aine Donegan, Beth Coulter and Annabel Wilson with RT\u00c9 bringing live televised coverage across all four days.<\/p>\n

Anna Foster will also head to the Palmer South Course in buoyant form<\/a> as the 2025 top Irish finisher (T12) as well as a second-placed finish at the Swiss Ladies Open earlier this month.<\/p>\n

There will also be a strong Irish amateur contingent in Kildare.<\/p>\n

Katie Dillon is the second highest ranked of those with the Galway golfer winning the inaugural East of Ireland Women’s Amateur Open in June.<\/p>\n

That came on the back of a play-off win over Olivia Costello, and the Roscommon golfer is also in the field this week.<\/p>\n

Emma Fleming is into the top 50 of the European amateur rankings and has enjoyed some good showings in Australia during an Erasmus programme in recent years.<\/p>\n

Ella Cantwell is also in the field and if she wins it would complete a famous double for her club Esker Hills with Shane Lowry winning the men\u2019s event as an amateur back in 2009.<\/p>\n

Other big names in the field include Canadian Anna Huang, a four-time winner on the Ladies European Tour, and 2025 LET player of the year, Singapore’s Shannon Tan.<\/p>\n
