Catherine Zeta-Jones doesn\u2019t consider owning four homes \u201cexcessive.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress, 55, spoke to the Sunday Times<\/a>, which noted that she and her husband, Michael Douglas, own four properties \u2014 two homes in New York, one in Canada and one in Spain.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know it sounds very jet set, and I love to surround myself with beauty but it\u2019s not excessive, it\u2019s very comfortable,\u201d Zeta-Jones said of their multiple properties.<\/p>\n

\u201cI go to all the vintage stores in Paris,\u201d she shared. \u201cI buy things that you are probably never going to wear, like a gorgeous cape, just great pieces. I am loving classic Yves Saint Laurent at the moment. I get excited about evening dresses.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, a pair of jeans is a pair of jeans. Spending \u00a3200 on a white T-shirt? Nah,\u201d she continued. \u201cBut when it comes to couture, beautiful beading, the artistry \u2026 I love the theatre of fashion.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Zeta-Jones passed her love of fashion and for the finer things to her 22-year-old daughter, Carys.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe loves my closet,\u201d the mother of two told the outlet. \u201cI have probably the biggest Fendi Baguette bag collection, and she\u2019s just found more in my mum\u2019s house. I\u2019ve got everything from denim to pearl to sequins.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCarla Fendi used to give them to me all the time, right when they were hot potatoes,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Zeta-Jones also joked about her and Douglas, 80, keeping their Oscars in separate houses. She won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2003 for her role as Velma Kelly in \u201cChicago,\u201d and Douglas won an Oscar for Best Actor for his role as Gordon Gekko in 1988\u2019s \u201cWall Street.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMine is in the country house in New York, Michael\u2019s is in the apartment in New York,\u201d she revealed. \u201cWe keep them apart, just in case, you know, there isn\u2019t like hanky-panky going on there.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Welsh actress noted that she and her husband respect each other\u2019s space. They\u2019ve been married since November 2000 and share two kids together: Carys and their 25-year-old son, Dylan.<\/p>\n

Zeta-Jones said that Douglas is planning to spend more time playing golf after he told Variety last month that he had no intention to act any more. WireImage<\/p>\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t listen to the crap that is written about us, that\u2019s the main thing,\u201d she said of their relationship. \u201cAnd we respect our space, we\u2019re independent spirits. We are very similar; we were born on the same day, 25 years apart.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not afraid to be verbal, to express ourselves,\u201d she continued. \u201cI wear everything on my sleeve and so does he, which is good.\u201d <\/p>\n

Zeta-Jones addressed Douglas telling Variety last month that he\u2019s \u201cpurposely\u201d stepped away from his acting career<\/a> and has no intentions of going back.<\/p>\n

\u201cMichael has definitely earned the chance to slow down,\u201d Zeta-Jones commented, noting that he now plans to play a lot more golf. \u201cBut I never say never.
