As leaks continue to pour out from a build of Grand Theft Auto 6 over the course of the past week, Rockstar\u2019s official gameplay preview will on Thursday, August 27. That is an \u201cextended look\u201d on Netflix, a first-of-its-kind concept where Rockstar will show off its first GTA 6 gameplay footage at 3 PM ET. <\/p>\n
Then, that footage will hit YouTube six hours later at 9 PM ET. A strange preview setup indeed.<\/p>\n
That extended look, however long it may be (estimates are 20-30 minutes), is not the only preview of GTA 6 on Thursday. It\u2019s been confirmed that a creator\/press preview will go live with impressions of the game after a (mostly) secret meetup at Rockstar a month ago, right after the Netflix special ends. This was confirmed by YouTuber TGG<\/a>, who has over 2 million followers, on Twitter<\/a>:<\/p>\n \u201cLast month I was invited to Rockstar North in Edinburgh. While there, I learned exclusive information about GTA 6. As soon as the Extended Look is out, I’m telling you everything. Tomorrow. Thank you to everyone at @RockstarGames who made this happen, I can’t wait.\u201d<\/p>\n While it seems like maybe this wasn\u2019t supposed to be confirmed just yet, the official Rockstar account responded with a gorilla emoji and a heart emoji. TGG stands for \u201cThe Gaming Gorilla.\u201d So it seems to be all good.<\/p>\n A catch here is that, reportedly, the preview was not actually the attendees playing the game, but rather a hands-off showcase where they were shown gameplay and footage rather than being able to roam around or play story missions themselves. It\u2019s possible, if not likely, that a future preview could be hands-on, but this one wasn\u2019t. We also don\u2019t know what footage, if any, was captured for the event that will go above and beyond what\u2019s shown in tomorrow\u2019s Netflix showcase. It will no doubt be more interesting and high-quality than the recent Cyberleek leaks.<\/p>\n Play Puzzles & Games on Forbes<\/p>\n Today, Rockstar issued its first statement <\/a>on the \u201cheartbreaking\u201d leaks ahead of the Netflix reveal and what are supposed to be story spoilers going live today. The leaker hasn\u2019t been stopped so far, and it remains unclear just how long this situation may last and the extent of what might be revealed from their fully playable build, a somewhat insane situation.<\/p>\n As I write this, Cyberleeks has just leaked a long Lucia section of story for GTA 6.
