Lancashire represented at Bunbury and Super 4s Festivals<\/p>\n


\nLancashire Cricket\u2019s Talent Pathway has once again been well represented on the regional stage this summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Red Rose have had nine players selected across the ECB Bunbury and Super 4s Regional Festivals in 2026, making it another successful time for Lancashire\u2019s Talent Pathway.<\/p>\n

This has provided the players opportunities to compete alongside and against some of the best young cricketers from across the country.<\/p>\n

ECB Super 4s Regional Festival<\/p>\n

There were four Lancashire players who represented the North U18s at the Super 4s Festival:<\/p>\n

Charlie Jackson \u2013 Prestwich CC
Sandy McEwan \u2013 Northern CC
Iuean Morris \u2013 Alvanley CC
Freddie Vaughan-Hawkins \u2013 Timperley CC<\/p>\n

Playing in the Super 4s gave the quartet another excellent opportunity for to test themselves in a highly competitive environment.<\/p>\n

They experienced high-level regional cricket and continued their development alongside players from across the North and against others from across the country.<\/p>\n

ECB Bunbury U15 Regional Festival<\/p>\n

Lancashire were also well represented at the Bunbury Festival, with five players selected:<\/p>\n

Jackson Bentley \u2013 Nantwich CC
Shivy Gautam \u2013 Northern CC
Rupert Hallows \u2013 Spondon CC
Henry Roberts \u2013 Lytham CC
Caleb Slater \u2013 Hightown St Mary\u2019s CC<\/p>\n

Similar to the Super 4s, featuring at Bunbury gives the players a chance to play in a highly skilled environment, playing alongside and against some of the most talented players in the country.<\/p>\n

Head of Boy\u2019s Talent Pathway, Chris Benbow, oversees the development of the age-group and academy players at Lancashire.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the two ECB-led festivals that have taken place this summer, he gave further insight into what the players can gain from such a prestigious call-up.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoth festivals are important experiences within the national pathway. They give young players the opportunity to challenge themselves in a different environment and compete with some of the leading players in their age group.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey also provide an invaluable opportunity for players to benchmark themselves against their peers from across the country. This helps them to gain a greater understanding of where their game currently sits, and the standards required as they continue to progress through the pathway.\u201d<\/p>\n

Having nine Lancashire players selected across the two festivals is something that reflects well on the club\u2019s Academy and Talent Pathway, which has continuously produced plenty of elite-level cricketers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Benbow explained what it means to the Red Rose for there to have been so many representatives in 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor us as a pathway, these experiences are equally valuable, allowing us to see our players in a different environment and helping to provide further context around their ongoing development.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, Jackson was unable to take his place at the festival due to injury, but his selection was thoroughly deserved and remains a fantastic achievement.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re incredibly proud of all nine lads for earning their selections and for the way they have represented themselves, their clubs and the Lancashire Pathway.\u201d<\/p>\n
