How long will GTA 6<\/a> take to beat? That’s obviously a big question on many people’s minds right now, and Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson has potentially answered it in an interview with The New York Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We say potentially because he only referenced his own playthrough in this interview, stating that it took him 80 hours to finish the game when playing the main story along with “optional goals with narrative ramifications”.<\/p>\n

In a game like this where the scope is so massive, it’s hard to know how long “optional goals” will take.<\/p>\n

For what it’s worth, GTA 4<\/a> took around 27 hours to beat the main story and 40 hours if you wanted to do all the side stuff, while GTA 5<\/a> was around 32 hours and 50 hours respectively.<\/p>\n

That would suggest GTA 6 is a significantly bigger and longer game than those two, but again, we don’t want to jump to conclusions and state that it’s definitely an 80-hour title – we’ll have to wait and see for sure in the weeks to come.<\/p>\n
