Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, is reportedly preparing to return to the United Kingdom after staying at a Swiss Alpine chalet in Verbier. According to The Guardian<\/a>, The Sun reported that the 66-year-old Ferguson is renting a six-bedroom house in a gated community in English counties near London.<\/p>\n

The Sun claims that Ferguson may soon move into the new property, which has three bathrooms and a separate annex. The publication also wrote that her belongings were removed this week from the home of her former husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, on the Sandringham estate.<\/p>\n

After leaving Royal Lodge<\/p>\n

Ferguson previously lived with Mountbatten-Windsor at Royal Lodge. Her former husband was forced to leave the residence and move to Marsh Farm on King Charles III’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk.<\/p>\n

According to the newspaper, after leaving Royal Lodge, Ferguson stayed out of the public eye at a chalet in Verbier. Her possible return comes amid publicity surrounding the friendly ties of Ferguson and Mountbatten-Windsor with Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sexual crimes against children.<\/p>\n

Publicity surrounding Epstein ties<\/p>\n

According to The Guardian, the scandal over these ties last year led to both of them losing their royal titles. Ferguson was also stripped of the Freedom of the City of York: local councillors unanimously voted to revoke it because of her ties to Epstein.<\/p>\n

After millions of Epstein-related documents were published last year, Ferguson was urged to speak with US authorities. One email exchange indicated that she took her daughters to Epstein in the United States days after his release from prison for sexual crimes against children.<\/p>\n

In September, the Mail on Sunday published letters from 2011 in which Ferguson called Epstein a close friend and apologized for letting him down. She had previously publicly described her association with him as a serious error of judgment. This year, the international charity Sarah\u2019s Trust announced that it was closing indefinitely, while seven charities ended their cooperation with Ferguson or withdrew her patronage.<\/p>\n
