Everton have submitted an official offer to AS Monaco for Folarin Balogun as the club look to secure further firepower before the transfer deadline.<\/p>\n
We’re set for a frantic final few hours of the transfer window with Everton among the busiest sides in the Premier League right now.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Fabrizio Romano<\/a> has reported that interest in Balogun has now been formalised with an unspecified bid, as Beto prepares to head for the Everton exit door.<\/p>\n The Toffees have agreed a deal to sell Beto to Fiorentina for around \u20ac20M<\/a> (\u00a317.1M) and are working on deals to sign Balogun and\/or former favourite Richarlison before the window slams shut. Negotiations are ongoing with Monaco and Tottenham Hotspur.\t\t <\/p>\n Balogun has been linked with an exit from Monaco all summer, following an impressive Ligue 1 campaign and strong showing for 2026 World Cup co-hosts the United States.<\/p>\n The ex-Arsenal academy graduate scored 19 goals in 43 games for Monaco last season to win the club’s Player of the Season award, and scored three times in four appearances for the USA during this summer’s tournament.<\/p>\n He’s scored 12 times in 31 caps for the US since pledging his international allegiance to the Stars and Stripes, having represented England up to U21 level.<\/p>\n Read more – How to lose hearts and minds…<\/a><\/p>\n \t\u00a0<\/p>\n Note: the following content is not moderated or vetted by the site owners at the time of submission. If we turn Beto into Balogun we\u0092ve done well.<\/p>\n I can\u0092t get excited about Tete though, he had the chance to join last year and didn\u0092t want to. I\u0092m not convinced he\u0092s better than Patterson.<\/p>\n We also need to know what the hell happened with the Armstrong bid. Look at the top clubs, they have strength in depth. If Everton want to be a top club again, having Balogun, Richarlison and Barry fight for one striker spot is what you want. Richie can also play out wide. Then you also have Grealish (assuming he signs) and George out left, Back post Brennan and Dibling on the right. This is the idea. Hypothesizing here, but what happens if the clubs only striking options are ony Barry after new signing Balogun gets injured and the club decided not to sign Richarlison. Then your screwed. Look at the squads of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, even Spurs. <\/p>\n I hear all this talk on here that Everton are still one of the biggest clubs in the country (and we still are in my opinion), then go and prove it by getting a squad ready made with that ambition, within the parameters of SCR of course. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a0Posted Completely agree with Mike (7) and Jamie (8).<\/p>\n This constant \u201cif we get X we don\u0092t need Y\u201d makes little sense. George, Grealish, Richarlison, balogun, barry, Dibbling The American connections with the blues may help get balogun too. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a0Posted David, the cynic in me says our owners want an American for marketing reasons.<\/p>\n Lee, 10, you\u0092re right that the \u2018top\u0092 clubs have more matches, but even if we signed all of Balogun, Richarlison and Grealish (with N\u0092Diaye leaving) there\u0092s still plenty of football to go around in the forward positions.<\/p>\n At least 6 of them should see action every game, and they\u0092ll all be fresher and keener for the competition. The issue is Moyes being more positive and daring with the formation, for example using KDH deeper and having more attacking players on the pitch. <\/p>\n
